Privacy Policy
MarketFill is a Chrome extension made by Dylan's Auto Sales. It reads vehicle details from your dealer inventory pages and pre-fills Facebook Marketplace vehicle listing forms so you can list vehicles faster. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
- Account email address — used to identify your account and send transactional messages.
- Password — stored as a secure bcrypt hash. We never store or transmit your plaintext password.
- Subscription status — your current plan tier (free or standard), managed via Stripe.
We do not store the contents of dealer inventory pages you visit, vehicle listing data, or the text or photos you submit to Facebook Marketplace. That data is processed locally in your browser and sent directly from your browser to Facebook.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account when you open the MarketFill extension.
- To verify your subscription tier and grant or restrict access to features accordingly.
- To manage your billing relationship through Stripe.
- To respond to support requests sent to our support email.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating this service.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com/privacy). We never see or store your card number, CVV, or any other payment card details. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status only.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share limited data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate MarketFill:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Supabase — secure cloud database where hashed passwords and account records are stored.
Both providers operate under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share data with any other third parties.
Chrome Extension Permissions
MarketFill requests the following browser permissions:
- Active tab / scripting — to read vehicle details from the dealer inventory page you are currently viewing, only when you click "Scrape this page".
- Storage — to save your login token locally in your browser so you do not have to log in every time.
- Tabs — to open the Facebook Marketplace listing form in a new tab and pre-fill it with vehicle data.
- Side panel — to display the MarketFill UI without navigating away from the dealer page.
The extension only reads page content when you explicitly initiate a scrape. It does not run in the background, track your browsing, or access any pages other than dealer inventory pages and the Facebook Marketplace listing form.
Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dylansautosales.com.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of MarketFill after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
